Our Allergy filter does not contain the granulated carbon/zeolite blend but instead utilizes the Military Carbon Cloth which removes all of the same substances just in a different form of activated carbon.
It has antimicrobial and antiviral properties.
All our junior size filters have a large particle pre-filter which removes particles easily seen by the naked eye (e.g., dust, hair and pet dander). The medium particle pre-filter removes small to medium size particles (e.g., molds, spores and pollen). All our filters contain 30 sq. ft. Medical Grade HEPA technology which is proven to remove up to 99% of all airborne contaminants as small as 0.1 microns. This includes viruses, bacteria, dust, dander and allergens. The Healthmate and Healthmate Plus contain roughly 7.5lbs activated granulated carbon/zeolite blend which removes VOC’s, formaldehyde, benzenes, chemicals, gases and odors. The Plus filter is impregnated with Potassium Iodide which gives it the broadest spectrum of chemical & VOC coverage.
